Alive In Joburg

This is going to be FANTASTIC!!! This what sci-fi looks like set in Africa, but really, it goes much deeper than green men from outer space.

Prequel short film by director Neill Blomkamp – this is what District 9 came out of and it’s an incredible six and a half minutes. Set in early nineties South Africa, the short tackles the Apartheid situation with another dimension of Extraterrestrial Refugees as part of the focus. The faux-documentary cleverly features original interview footage from the time, no aliens mentioned, but it’s completely in context. Science fiction at it’s best.
