Silkies at the pop-up shop
This Saturday Simone will be printing Silkies outside the shop at her Silkie booth. Who / what is a Silkie?
The Silkies Sandwich:
This is an initiative by illustrator Simone Philippou of INTOTO, who diligently mixes the batter, fries the pancakes and then screen prints Silkie (a Banana dude with a 'fro) onto the pancake using chocolate syrup and serves them up with bananas and sprinkles.
If you're in Nicosia on Saturday morning and don't know where it's happening, come by our pop-up shop at 34 Makariou Ave. next to Body Shop, for one of Simone's Silkies and also to see the works of RockTheDog, Alexis Michaelides, The Concrete Store, Pantelis Michellis, and of course, Love From Cyprus who has some featured designers and makers of beautiful things.
