The bamboos I've had for nearly 3 years. Luckily they're really low maintenance, and have survived 2 summers without water. When the tips started to dry up, all I did was cut off all the dry bit and seal it again by dipping it in candle wax.
I'm also adopting a little Japanese tree from my friend Elias, who's leaving London. Slowly but surely I'm collecting (and keeping alive) a little indoor Eden.
