Elephants on Acid...

I'm reading a book by Alex Boese titled 'Elephants on acid and other bizarre experiments'. It's fascinating, funny, ridiculous and so well written for people with a short attention span (me). So far, experiments most relevant to me are the ones about making moneyyy...

Tip: Waitresses - touch the customer when you give them their bill. Not in a sexual manner, just a light touch on the shoulder, no eye contact. This can increase your tip between 20-45%, especially if the customer is female (ironic).

Retailers - use pleasant scents in your shop to encourage spending. Scent which was used in the experiment was not not specified (quite rightly so). Still...pretty interesting.

A must read for anyone interested in random information.
