Le Ballon Rouge 1956

A beautiful film, with no dialogue. The muted colours with the bright red balloon influenced Spielberg's Schindler's List. It's about a boy who befriends a balloon that follows him everywhere, until a group of bullies chase the boy and his balloon, threatening to pop his friend.
