Interiors by Ais Design Studio

Back in September 2009 I posted about Cypriot architect Koutsoftides from Pafos (Go Pafos!) here, and figured a year later, it's high time I post again having seen the scene here in Lefkosia now. There are many interesting places popping up around town, and every now and again you find a gem. In this case it's interior designer Andreas Achniotis Perales of Ais Design Studio. Given, I may be teeny bit bias as I know the (hunky) man, but speaking to him you realise there's more than meets the eye. His style is decidedly Italian (having studies and lived there 5 years, this is to be expected) but with a twist. All the interior projects by the studio are given dynamite code names while the architecture projects sweet (as in cakes) names. Glossy and minimal finishes with primary colour palettes, Andreas personalises work by including some of his own products. You may notice his trademark 'X' in some projects, either in the form of a bookshelf or lights and also his custom designed graphic wallpapers back dropping the otherwise star studded product selection from lights, to chairs to materials. Watch this space, as insider information informs that we'll be seeing more of his 'X' bookshelves...view the studio's website here.
