Float my (ice cream) boat
Frederick's Ice Cream has commissioned the first ice-cream truck / boat of it's kind to celebrate National Ice ream week in the UK (May 30-June 5). HMS Flake 99 made it's first maiden voyage through Blackpool and aims to visit Venice in 2012. The point? Besides serving ice cream to fisherman and pedestrians alike, the goal is to raise awareness about the decrease of ice cream trucks due to council bans on the vehicles in certain areas with concerns about noise pollution, childhood obesity and rising fuel costs. Seriously??? Get your kids to play outdoors once in a while and don't feed them microwave meals. Must admit though, the high-pitched jingle is like the song the mermaids sang to Ulysses to lure the sailors to the rocks and kids seem to hear for miles. Evil, pure evil!
