Window Dressing with Hitchcock
Tobey Macquire and Carolyn Murphy step into Alfred’s Hitchcock’s 1954 classic New York City thriller Rear Window in Peter Lindbergh’s ‘Window Dressing’ editorial, for American Vogue April 2013 edition. The old-school, Fifties glamour, has been styled by Grace Coddington, with a selection of Spring’s Ready-to-Wear from Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, and others. If you haven’t, be sure to check out the film, starring Grace Kelly and James Stewart. One of my beloved films growing up was the 1998 remake starring my hero, Christopher Reeve.
Hitchcock's films and cinematography have inspired many themes fashion editorials before, and Rear Window among other films, were also the theme for Vanity Fair's 2008 Hitchock Hollywood Portfolio shoot, previously 'played' by Scarlett Johanson and Javier Bardem.
