Embrace the Chaos is a book which aims to identify 100 microtrends that will affect consumers' lives in 2009.

"The book claims that new trends include ‘fear of falling' (middle-class anxiety about slipping down the wealth ladder in a recession), ‘authenticity fatigue' (increasing scepticism at brands' attempts to appear ‘real') and the ‘cameraphone watershed' (self-imposed rules among friends to prevent embarrassing photos finding their way on to the internet)."
