Viktor & Rolf upside down

Back in 2005, looney Dutch design duo Viktor & Rolf, opened a store in Milan with an upside-down concept that has oak parquet on the ceiling and chandeliers sprouting out of the floor. Everything, to the last detail was considered. The sign one the window is upside down, the door, the arches serve as seating, it's all just too creepy. Like an optical illusion. Pretty trippy...

In 2007 the pair lent their unique design sense to Rémy Cointreau's Champagne house Piper Heidsieck to create Viktor & Rolf Rosé Sauvage, turning the traditional Champagne bottle on its head. The back is the front and the bottom of the bottle is the top. The related flutes and buckets are also upside down. The design won a diamond award in the 2008 Pentawards.
