Dave Lovett's extra large canvases with compositions of video cassettes, CD's and glass pots are fun with a nostalgic feel. The best part is reading the labels of the cassettes and remembering your own mix tapes. I used to record music videos and they were professionally rearranged for house parties. See, just playing music wasn't good enough for me, I wanted videos as well. I'm a big fan of large scale compositions of otherwise small objects. Blowing them out of proportions like that makes an object seem more important than it is, especially objects which are now obsolete.
