The Mercabana-Flor, or flower market, near the Barcelona Internartional Airport was designed by
Will Muller Architects. The multi-faceted angular roof structure and coloured panels are a striking feature and mesmerizing from the highway as you drive in/out from the airport. The 16,000 sq.m building houses three main sections, one for cut flowers, one for plants and one for accessories. Located near the airport's cargo terminal, as the flower business relies on fast air delivery of fresh flowers. WMA has an office in Barcelona as well as Brasil, which are run by Argentinian Muller and Frenchman Frederic Guillard.
