I'm a big fan of festivals, especially when they are free. The International Film Festival of Patmos is one of these non-profit festivals, by people who love film and want to share and educate others too about their passion. I know it takes a lot of time and energy (and money too) to arrange a non-profit event such as this. I, myself am the sole organiser of
Pecha Kucha Nicosia and know it is increasingly difficult to get free venues (to start with) and all the time and personal expenses involved in arranging an event.
This is why I am sharing this Kickstarter project, to help a team of people arrange an event that everyone will benefit from. It is an 8-day event, with open air cinemas, workshops and screenings of documentaries, awarded films and short films. Let's all help a little bit, in order to help this little island and this event out a lot. Sharing is caring.
